Enhance the Energy in Your Room

The bedroom is the first and last place you encounter in the day. Like everything else in life, you gotta start strong and finish strong. How you start your day truly sets the tone for everything that comes after. How you end your night sets the tone for how your morning flows. So both times have a large impact on your entire day.

Why a Room’s Energy is Important

We may not be able to see energy but there’s no doubt we can feel it. We are creatures that act upon our feelings. We’re in tuned to when something is “off” or “not quite right”. We’ve all had the experience when nothing went right during the day due to a heated argument with a loved one. When we’re not in a good emotional and mental space our actions reflect it.  Give yourself the gift of positive and happy emotions by transforming the tone of your bedroom into peace, tranquility and fortune.

5 Ways to Bring Good Energy to Your Room

1. Natural lighting-

Overhead lighting pushes good energy out of your bed. Start and end your day with the light of the sun. Open those blinds, pull back those curtains and allow life to flow freely through your room

2. Cut down on the electrical devices-

I love reading e-books from my tablet before bed but the light messes with your sleep timer in your mind. I use old fashion books now. They get the job done just the same

The bedroom is made for rest, relaxation and baby making. And although I’m not opposed to making babies in any area of the home, most tasks should have a specific room for where it gets done. This helps with retention and motivation. Your body is able to adjust easier when it knows what to expect. Keep the electronics to a minimum as much as possible.

3. Declutter-

A clutter free area makes for a calmer and more welcoming place. Not only is living with a cluttered person hard, living with clutter is no easier—even if it’s your own. It quickly brings down your mood as you’re reminded of all the chores and unfinished business that needs attention.

4. Bring on the plants-

Easy to care indoor plants like succulents and ferns are great options. Blossoming flowers like tulips and orchids are perfect too. Research shows that the observation of nature reduces anxiety, anger, and bring about pleasant feelings.

5. Get Color Crazy-

Not too crazy, but a burst of red can really liven up your atmosphere. Red is known to attract fortune, energy and good luck. Art work, plants (real or fake), or some good ole paint in the area of your door will energize your bedroom.

There you have it. 5 Ways to bring good energy into your room. We’re not able to control everything that happens to us. Unexpected and unpleasant experiences will always be there to turn our day upside down. But never take for granted the things you can control like your reactions and your environment. Learning how to manage these two areas will not only transform your day, it’ll transform your life.

Feel Free,

Mel
